Hi, and welcome. We’re Alice and Jenny, the founders of Tercette.

We met on a playground in Portland while our children were small. What began as conversation between two mothers slowly became the idea for a studio: a place to make clothing with more care, less noise, and a material we both felt deeply drawn to.

Tercette has grown inside the community we were already part of. The people you see wearing our pieces are our friends. Local shops have given us places to gather and show the collection, while those closest to us have tried pieces on, lived in them, and told us what felt right. That closeness has shaped Tercette from the start.

We wear the knits ourselves through school drop-offs, errands, workdays, rain, travel, and long afternoons. A piece has to feel beautiful, but it also has to make sense in the middle of a full day.

We are not always launching something new. Between collections, we are refining fit, working through color and proportion, meeting people locally, and listening to how the pieces are being worn.

You can find us seasonally at pop-ups and gatherings around Portland, including Superette and Storied Objects, as well as occasional previews from the studio. Over time, we hope this page becomes a record of the people, places, and moments surrounding the work.
