It is a natural fiber sourced from the soft undercoat of yaks, a species of mountainous cattle that dwells in the harsh climates of the Himalayans. It is known for its luxurious feel and sustainable nature. While it is less widely recognized than cashmere as a luxury fiber, yak wool is known to be just as soft, warmer, and more lightweight and breathable than cashmere.

Undyed yak wool in particular, having avoided a dyeing process, is naturally biodegradable and impeccably soft. Yak wool colors change slightly year to year, but generally comes in three colors: light milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and the rare platinum gray.

Yak wool is a sustainable alternative to cashmere due to the yaks' ability to graze without causing damage to the ecosystem. The traditional way of nomadic yak herding also prevents overgrazing and desertification, one of the biggest issues with raising cashmere goats and sheep.

Our yak wool is sourced directly from communities of traditional nomadic herders in Tibet, Qinghai, and Sichuan. The yaks are hand combed during their natural shedding season, ensuring the utmost care and respect for the animals.

Dry clean or hand wash with cold water and mild detergent. Gently press down on fabric to remove excess water; do not wring. Lay flat to dry and reshape. Allow it to dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which can damage the fibers.

Store folded; avoid hanging as it may stretch over time. Every order ships with a complimentary Camphor wood ball, which helps protect your items from moths and humidity.

We accept returns within 14 days of the item’s delivery date. Once approved, please ship the item back within 10 days. Items must be returned unused, unwashed, no stains, with all Tercette tags and original packaging intact. If a return does not meet our policy, it will be sent back to you.

Any item marked as Final Sale will not be refundable.

Please allow up to 10 business days for your return to be processed once it reaches our warehouse.
